Saudi Maaden to spend USD67m in mining exploration plans

(MENAFN) Maaden, a Saudi mining giant, decided to allocate USD67 million in its budget for this year's mining exploration operations.

Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the amount was set at a major jump compared to the Saudi mining firm's 2018 budget.

This figure was decided by the mining giant with an aim to create job opportunities along with adding to the GDP growth in the Kingdom.

According to Maaden, mining exploration projects will be launched within desert regions since they have higher odds for a discovery.

Meanwhile, the company further announced that it reached a resolution to accelerate gold output to stand at 1 million ounces a year.
