Health tourism to flourish in Croatia

(MENAFN) Croatia is expected to see its health tourism flourish to reach more than USD1.14 billion a year, as the country enjoys mild climate and ecological security.

Croatian Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli delivered the projection on Tuesday during the Health Spot Croatia conference in Zagreb.

More than 200 people took part in the event with prominent experts in medicine, healthcare, wellness and tourism.

Cappelli stated: "as part of one of the most developed regions of health tourism in Europe, Croatia has all the opportunities to become internationally recognizable by its diverse and high-quality offer of health tourism."

Such forecast growth is also likely to be attributed to the country's full knowledge in tourism and healthcare.
