Makassar, Indonesia, Jan 24 - Residents evacuate their flooded homes in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Torrential rains and landslides displaced upwards of several thousand residents in central Indonesia, officials said. The death toll from the deadly flooding and landslides that hit certain parts of Gowa District, South Sulawesi Province, has increased to 11. Rescue workers have been attempting to search for the missing residents. The deadly flooding and landslides have not merely claimed the lives of local people but have also forced at least 2,121 people to take refuge in safer places. Photo courtesy of Antara
