(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Algeria's Sonatrach signed an agreement with China Harbour Engineering Company Monday to build a pier for Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) in the port of the eastern state of Skikda.
Sonatrach said the USD 442 million pier would increase production of the LNG complex to 220,000 cubic meters, as well as pumping between 50,000 and 250,000 tons to tankers docked at the pier.
It added the project, part of Sonatrach 2030 strategy, would be completed in 28 months. (end) mr.bs
