Vietnam detects bird flu outbreaks

(MENAFN) The provincial animal health bureau declared that Vietnam's northern Quang Ninh province has recently reported 3 cases of H5N6 bird flu outbreaks which have infected thousands of fowls.

The most recent outbreak, detected on Monday, affected 3,000 chickens owned by a household in Hai Ha district.

All of the infected chickens have been isolated to stop the disease from spreading.

The bureau added that earlier, one H5N6 case has been recorded in Quang Ninh's Mong Cai city and another in Tien Yen district.
