Doha:The Qatar Swimming Association will host the first leg of the 2019 FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series on February 16 at the Doha's iconic Corniche which will provide a stunning setting for reigning Olympic and World Champions to compete in the 10km open water races.
The event features seven legs taking place in some of the world's most scenic waterways, including the Seychelles, Portugal, Canada, Hungary and China.
Doha hosted the first leg of the 2018 FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series in March 2018. Ferry Weertman of the Netherlands claimed the title of Men's event while his compatriot Sharon van Rouwendaal took the gold medal in the Women's event.
