Merkel expresses her stultification over UN migration pact


(MENAFN) On Monday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel praised the adoption of UN migration agreement, highlighting that it will guarantee human rights for all, with refugees and migrants rights.

Merkel stated at the Intergovernmental Conference on Global Compact for Migration in Marrakech, Morocco, "This is a very important day. We agreed for the first time at global level on a comprehensive political compact for migration".

On Monday, UN member states adopted an international migration pact - namely "The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM)" in a UN conference.

She emphasized that the agreement would be a very good indicator for millions of
migrants and refugees around the world, guaranteeing that the "universal human rights apply to each and everyone, in each and every country".
