Ethiopian police arrest 10 suspects for recruiting local villagers
(MENAFN) Police have nabbed 10 suspects for plotting illegal military training of local militants in western Ethiopia.
The suspects were believed to be giving military training for locals in efforts to trigger havoc in Ethiopia's Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, according to state-run Ethiopian News Agency.
At least 50 people getting illicit military training in the region were recently nabbed.
Benishangul Gumuz Region Police Commissioner Nega Jare confirmed that the 10 suspects were recruiting local villagers and preparing them in the end to murder civilians and spark havoc in the region.
