Turkey launches new industrial sector

(MENAFN) On Saturday, the Industry and Technology Ministry emphasized a presidential ruling has announced a newly-opened oil refinery in western Izmir province as the first special industrial sector in Turkey.Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated in a statement that the oil refinery will decrease Turkey's external trade deficit yearly by USD1.5 billion.He stated, "The STAR refinery is the biggest real sector investment made at a time in Turkey".He emphasized the significance of petrochemical investments in terms of high value-added manufacture, employment opportunities and balance of expenditures.
