Rajasthan Pariwar Qatar marks anniversary with folk night
DOHA: 'Rajasthan Pariwar Qatar (RPQ) associated to the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) under the aegis of Embassy of India, has organised a 'Rajasthani Folk Night, to celebrate their first anniversary.
India is rich in culture & tradition, especially Rajasthan is known for its traditional folk music and dance. Rajasthan Pariwar Qatar called in troupe of folk singers, traditional instrument players and folk dancers from Rajasthan, said a release. The key attraction of the event was 'The Voice of India Kid fame child prodigy, singer Jasu Khan, khartal instrument player Pempa Khan and kalbeliya dancer Chhoti Sapera. Magical environment of folklore was created, wherein apart from Rajasthani folk songs, troupe also presented fusion on the famous songs like 'Mere Rashke Kamar and 'Duma Dum Mast Kalandar.
The event was attended by noted Indian officials, respected dignitaries, event's sponsors, personnel from top organizations and media. Approximately 100 families of Rajasthani roots gathered for the event conducted at the ballroom of one of the prestigious hotel of Doha. Audience relished the soulful journey into the melody of Rajasthani music and dancing traditional 'Ghoomar on euphonious voice of Jasu Khan, followed by luscious Indian dinner.
