Delta flight makes an emergency landing in Atlanta due to smoking engine

A Delta plane flight returned to airport after take-off on April 18 evening due to a smoking engine.
Delta Air Lines Flight 30 from to London Heathrow departed and shortly after 6 pm, while the plane was ascending, pilots received an indicator warning of a problem with the right engine. They shut that engine down and made an emergency landing at 's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Aircraft rescue and fire fighting units hosed down the plane's engine while passengers remained on board.
The aircraft was towed to a gate where the 274 passengers and 14 crew members disembarked from the plane.
'We apologize to our customers on Delta Flight 30 for delaying their travel,' according to Delta spokesman Anthony Black.
"The flight landed without incident and airport response vehicles met the aircraft upon arrival. The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority and we apologize to our customers on this flight. It's not yet clear what caused the incident."
