S. Korea logs slowdown in industrial yield for 2nd month

(MENAFN) Due to sluggish exports that caused a drop in production among manufacturers, the industrial production in South Korea slowed down for two conservative months.

Additionally, according to Statistics Korea, production in all industries deteriorated 0.5 percent in November from October, after falling 1.3 percent in the previous month.

However, the industrial activity kept a growth trend from June to Sep, but it eventually plunged due to the sluggishness in exports, which tumbled 4.7 percent in November from a year earlier.

Meanwhile, retail sales, which measure private consumption, slumped 1.1 percent in Nov on a monthly basis, but it jumped 5.5 percent from 2014's cited month, keeping a high growth trend.
