Filipino peacekeepers test negative for Ebola, still face quarantine

negative for Ebola but would still be kept in isolation for 21 days
after they return home next week, the Philippine military said

'They are 100 per cent medically and physically fit,' said Colonel
Roberto Ancan, chief of the military's Peacekeeping Operations
Center. 'There was no risk. They were not in contact with people
infected with Ebola.'
Despite passing the Ebola screening test, the 108 soldiers will still
be quarantined in an island south-west of Manila after they arrive on
Tuesday.
The soldiers would also not be allowed to have physical contact with
their families, Ancan said.
