Israel artillery shells S. Lebanon in response to rocket fire
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Israeli artillery on Monday shelled areas in south Lebanon after a rocket was fired into Israel.
The rocket was launched from Litani Valley toward the "occupied Palestinian territories," and landed in the Kiryat Shmona settlement near the borders with Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack and no casualties have been reported.
Israel targeted areas in Nabatia and Kafr Shouba with dozens of artillery shells, as the Israeli army hurled flare bombs over the borders area, and
drones flew in the Lebanese sky, according to the NNA.
Unknown gunners fired two rockets on Israel two days before, one fell east of Acre, prompting artillery shelling to the source area.
