Microsoft outperforms Yahoo in ad revenue
(MENAFN) A survey by eMarketer showed that Microsoft is forecasted to outtake Yahoo in digital advertising revenue for the first time, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The US software giant is expected to record a 20 percent growth in ad revenues, hitting USD3.56 billion, the survey added.
Yahoo's ad revenues will increase by around 2.7 percent to USD3.53 billion, but its growth will be slower than the rest of the fast-growing sector, eMarketer said.
Meanwhile, Google is to extend its domination of the global digital ad market in 2014, with a 31.45 percent market share, while Facebook will see its share grow to 7.79 percent.
