695kg grains seized, destroyed in Liwa, Oman


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Nearly 694.8kg of grains found unfit for human consumption were seized during inspection of a shopping centre in the wilayat of Liwa in North Batinah. The seized grains were destroyed by authorities. 

During the drive, seven health violation notices and two warnings were issued to other establishments in the wilayat.

A press release stated that the inspection campaign was carried out by the Directorate General of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources and the Municipality of Liwa, in cooperation with the Health Control and Sanitation Department at the directorate.

‘Heads of the departments of food control, veterinary and health inspectors and technicians from all municipalities in the governorate took part in the campaign,' the press release further stated.
