Saudi- OIC to strengthen ties with Tajikistan

(MENAFN- Arab News) Iyad madani secretary-general of the organization of islamic cooperation (oic) met with tajik foreign minister sorjiddin aslov in jeddah on sunday

'they exchanged views on cooperation between tajikistan and the oic and discussed several international and regional issues of mutual interest" the information department of the tajik ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement

Madani praised the role of tajikistan in developing activities of the oic whose aim is to strengthen islamic solidarity and cooperation of member states contribute to the elimination of racism and colonialism and implement measures to maintain international peace and security

Madani also noted that the oic which consists of 57 member states intends to expand its cooperation with central asian nations including tajikistan on the basis of its programs and actions.
