Environment Day activities across Oman on January 8

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) H E Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Information, will be the guest of honour for activities organised at Rustaq College of Applied Sciences in South Batinah governorate on Wednesday to mark Oman Environment Day 2014. 

The event will be attended by Shura Council members and government officials, a press release said.

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs will also hold several programmes across the sultanate in order to create environmental awareness in all segments of the society. The programmes of year come under the theme ‘Together Protecting our Environment'. Oman Environment Day is observed on January 8 every year as per the strategical vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for environmental conservation.
