Republican vote overwhelms Kentucky, Indiana as Romney eyes White House
Voting has ended in a group of states and Presidential results are coming in as voters in Kentucky and Indiana apparently called for Republican Mitt Romney against Democratic incumbent president Barack Obama who was favored only in Vermont.
Ballots were finally closed in each of three states showing Romney secured 19 electoral votes in Indiana and Kentucky, while Obama won Vermont, securing 3 electoral votes out of a total of 270 electoral votes needed to claim the White House.
Republican Romney got 58.4 percent or 92,985 calls from Indiana against 39.7 percent or 63,151 for the incumbent Democratic President. In Kentucky, 57.1 percent or 121,495 voters called for Romney, while 41.3 percent or 87,874 called voted for Obama.
Vermont followed up with the results showing voters favored Obama, giving him his first 3 electoral votes out of 270 needed to win the white House. Meanwhile, voting is about to end in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Virginia.
