Emir visits Russian National Museum of Fine Art

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani visiting the Russian National Museum of Fine Art (Tretyakov Gallery) yesterday. During the visit, the Emir was briefed on a number of historical and contemporary works as well as paintings by Russian artists. The Emir was also briefed on the museum's collections, art works and the ancient icons of Russia which extend from the Middle Ages to the modern era. The Emir listened to an explanation by the museum's directors about Russian art and culture. The Emir was accompanied during the visit by several members of the official delegation.
