Bahrain expresses concern over Syria

(MENAFN) The growing violence in Eastern Ghouta have driven Bahrain to express its concerns about Syria.

Bahrain called for creating methods that would guarantee the delivery of all kinds of humanitarian assistance to the injured and would deliver the required food and medicine, hoping to reach a truce to protect the innocent civilians from any attacks.

The Bahrain News Agency, BNA, quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as stressing the need to intensify the efforts and international endeavors to reach a peaceful, political settlement for the Syrian crisis, based on the principles of the Declaration of Geneva and United Nations Security Council's Resolution 2254 and pursuant to Syria's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

In a different context, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued on Thursday (February 22, 2018) a royal decree appointing his son Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad as First Vice President of the Royal Family Council.
