Kuwait- Syrian assaults wife Liquor with Indians


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20:A Syrian expatriate broke the nose of his wife during a family dispute, and the woman reported the incident to officers at Maidan Hawalli Police Station, says Al-Seyassah. The woman accompanied by her father went to the police station with medical report supporting the claim and narrated the man hit her in the nose, resulting in her injury and serious bleeding. The father noted a minor disagreement between the couple escalated to physical fight. The officers took necessary steps to invite the accused for questioning, and he admitted the period of disagreement was a 'devilish hour. Meanwhile, officers at Jahra Police Station were surprised to see an Asian woman who arrived at the premises in fear and tears saying the sponsor's son had assaulted her physically. The officers went to the sponsor's house and arrested the son for questioning.

Liquor with Indians: Police have arrested three Indians for trading in local and imported booze, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspects were seen standing between a taxi and a private car in Mahboula and drove off in a taxi when they saw the police vehicle. However, police chased the taxi, forced it to pull over and seized 88 bottles of local and imported alcohol from the car.
