Germany admits it was unprepared for the Christmas attack aftermath

(MENAFN) One year after the incident, Germany has recognized that it was unprepared to handle the aftermath of the Christmas attack in Berlin that resulted in twelve people to lose their lives.

The Justice Minister has expressed his regrets for the reaction faults as relatives of the victims confirmed they weren't provided with timely information and received bills for autopsies' expenses.

Ahead of the declaration of the face-to-face meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, a number of families said in an open letter he failed to connect with them. The letter read "almost a year after the attack, we note that you have not shared your condolences with us either in person or in writing."
