Qatar- Ashghal's engineering business department receives ISO 9001:2015

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Engineering Business Department of Public Works Authority's (Ashghal) has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for engineering support services from Afnor Groupe, an ISO member dealing with certification and standardisation, with the assistance of the consultant Apave.
The ISO certification is for the establishment of an electronic system that will contribute to standardising processes, improving performances, integrating the teamwork concept, motivating and committing staff to quality and improving internal and external communication.
A ceremony was held at Ashghal headquarters in the presence of president Saad bin Ahmed al-Mohannadi, and assistant president Abdullah Hamad al-Attiya, Technical Support Affairs' director Mohamed Ali Darweesh and Engineering Business Department manager Abd Al Samad al-Makki along with a number of Ashghal
employees.
The certificate was handed over to Darweesh and al-Makki. Ashghal's president honoured the programme team with appreciation certificates, and thanked their efforts that led to the recognition.
Darweesh said, 'The project is the basis for an integrated quality system and goes with the goals set by Ashghal and Engineering Business Department alike.
'The system is fruitful for all stakeholders in and outside Ashghal since it will streamline the whole processes in the
department, he added.
