Kuwait held for spreading rumors and misinformation on social media
(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7, (KUNA): A citizen, suspected of spreading rumors and misinformation on social media, was arrested by the police, said the Interior Ministry Tuesday.
The Interior Ministry's Public Relations department said that the citizen committed illicit acts on his social media accounts, revealing that 24 charges have been issued against the suspect.
The department warned that any individuals spreading lies through Internet and similar mediums will be violating the law and their acts will be considered as cybercrimes.
