Oman- Most stocks decline on MSM's benchmark

The MSM30 index fell a further 0.33 per cent on Tuesday to close the session at 5,748.61.

Trading improved from the previous day as turnover increased to RO19.45mn against 150.89mn shares traded on GCC institutional activity.

Among the subindices, the Industrial gauge lost the most, dropping 0.36 per cent. The Financial index fell 0.25 per cent and the Services index fell 0.29 per cent.

The MSM Shariah indexclosed down 0.58 per cent at 875.6.Market breadth remained negative as just three stocks posted gains, against 16 decliners, while 15 scrips closed flat for the day.

HSBC Bank Oman (+1.01 per cent), United Finance (+0.63 per cent) and Oman Investment & Finance Co (+0.51 per cent) were the only gainers for the day. The laggards were led by Al Sharqia Investment Holding (-3.85 per cent), Gulf Investment Services (-3.36 per cent) and Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles (-2.43 per cent).
