Pagan Ritual for Social Justice is Open to the Public

(MENAFNEditorial) Online PR News – 24-September-2016 – Long Beach, CA – The pagan communitys belief systems are many and diverse. Many pagan spiritual systems are centered around at least one of the four ideals of; reverence of nature, worship of polytheistic deities, self-reliance and improvement, and/or activism. On Sunday October 2nd at the 18th annual Los Angeles Pagan Pride Day the popular activism pagan organization, Reclaiming LA, will be leading a community ritual focusing on overcoming injustice that is open to all. The ritual is scheduled to begin at 1 PM at Rainbow Lagoon Park in Long Beach, CA.

Reclaiming LA is a community in the greater Los Angeles area who celebrates earth-based spirituality in support of justice in all its forms. The tradition is rooted in interconnectedness and thrives on our history of activism for a healthy planet, justice for all, individual freedom, and humanity's marvelous diversity. The ritual is described on the event page as follows; With the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis as our guide - the Great Lady of Magic - we will summon the element of Water to wear down injustice drip by drip by drip. May Water heal Mother Earth and her people as it carves through the hardest materials and the hardest of hearts. Join us to dance the sacred spiral between the worlds and weave magic that will change all the worlds.

The event host, Pagan Pride LA (a registered 501(c)3 religious organization), has made it its mission to promote tolerance and understanding of Pagans within the general community. In the interest of educating the public about Wicca, witchcraft, and other pagan practices five local pagan groups will be performing rituals at the 2016 Pagan Pride Day event. Attendees are welcome to watch or participate in the rituals. Pagan Pride officials hope these rituals will convey the beliefs and practices of pagans and witches to the general public. Pagan Pride LA welcomes all members of the public, police and media to come to the festival and learn a little more about their pagan neighbors.

The 18th Annual Pagan Pride Day will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Rainbow Lagoon Park, Long Beach, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional information regarding Pagan Pride Day can be found at http://www.paganpridela.org
