UAE- EAU receives NQA Qualifications Recognition

DUBAI 10th February 2016 (WAM) -- Emirates Aviation University EAU has received recognition of its qualifications from the National Qualifications Authority NQA. The federal authority's acknowledgement will provide the university with a significant recognition on a national level positioning Emirates Aviation University as the first provider for vocational and applied qualifications in the UAE.

In a ceremony held at the university's campus in Academic City last week Dr. Ahmad Al Ali Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University was presented with the official certificate of qualifications approval.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash Minister of Labour Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Mehairi Director-General National Qualifications Authority Dr. Abdulla Al Karam Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director-General of Knowledge and Human Development Authority and Dr. Naji Al Mahdi Chief of Qualifications and Awards in Dubai at KHDA.

"NQA's recognition is a great achievement and a milestone in the history of Emirates Aviation University. This will be warmly welcomed by our students and graduates who can now continue their education knowing that their bachelor or master degrees will be fully attested and recognised across the UAE" said Dr. Ahmad Al Ali.

"The accreditation will also allow us to expand our national reach and meet the changing needs of the aviation and education industries at a time when the demand for both is expanding globally" he added The recognition applies as of February 2016 and pertains to all vocational professional applied bachelor and applied master programmes at EAU. It will provide graduates with quality assurance of their degrees and guarantees employers that applicants' education is of high quality.
