(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Vodafone is giving its customers the opportunity to test its "superfast data network" for free until August 24 this year using Ookla, the global leader in broadband data network testing.
"Ookla speed tests would normally consume up to 150 Megabytes per speed test but we want our customers to test our network speeds and not worry about their data usage. Now they can do as many Ookla speed tests as they want and prove to their friends that they are on Qatar's fastest data network," said Marc Norris, chief commercial officer, Vodafone Qatar.
Earlier this month, Vodafone announced that they have the fastest data network in Qatar with the widest 4G+ coverage. This came following a project of substantial upgrades and expansions of their 3G and 4G network at an investment of more than QR500mn in their network infrastructure in the past five months alone.
Last week the company also launched its new Red Qatari Plan that includes 10GB of data and unlimited local calling for QR 250/month. More information about Vodafone's network and the areas in Qatar covered by Vodafone's 4G+ could be had from www.vodafone.qa.
