(MENAFN- Arab Times) After the humiliating defeat of Kuwait's national football team against the Sultanate of Oman during the Arabian Gulf Cup, government sources said the Cabinet will discuss the report on the current condition of the sports sector in its meeting on monday The report will also include the reasons behind the humiliating defeat and ways to rectify mistakes in the football governing organ for everything to return to the natural course.
Sources disclosed the Cabinet intends to dissolve the Kuwait Football Federation Board and to commission Minister of Information and State Minister for Youths Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud to form a temporary council, which will be headed by a sports personality known for his experience and competence in this regard.
Sources explained the awaited decision - dissolving the football board - will be a response to the public demand after the painful defeat of Kuwait against Oman last Thursday.
Meanwhile, parliamentary sources expect protocol meetings between the heads of the executive and legislative authorities to agree on calling to account those who failed in their duties and those responsible for deteriorating condition of football in the country.
