(MENAFN - Arab News) Pak Green beat Desert Warriors by 36 runs while ARM defeated Mazco by 8 wickets in a pair of semifinal matches as they set up a final showdown in the ACE Tours & Travels Premier League cricket tournament.

The tournament is sponsored by ACE Travels and organized by the JCA (Jeddah Cricket Association).

Pak Green beat Desert Warriors by 36 runs:

In the first semifinal match the strong Pak Green-XI put a huge total of 218 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted overs. Adnan Hussain made a brilliant knock of 50 runs of 31 balls (4x4 &1x6). Sajid Husain contributed 36 runs (4x4 & 1x6) Rizwan Moon had 42 (3x6 & 3x4) and Usman 15 runs to help prop up a respectable total for the Pak Green-XI. Khalid was the most successful bowler of Desert Warriors taking 3 for 43 while Islam had 2 for 46 and Adil 2 for 42. Desert Warriors made182 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Waseem scored 58 runs with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. Others who contributed runs for Desert Warriors were Jafar 27 Junaid 16 and skipper all-rounder Muzammil Riyaz 22 runs. Left a spinner Asim had 2 for 9 while Shahzad Noman Adnan Usman Rizwan Zahid and Malik Shan Manzoor had one wicket each for 20 2235242230 and 18 runs respectively for the Pak Green-XI to ensure the 36 runs victory.

ARM beat Mazco by 8 wickets:

In the second semifinal match Mazco batting first slumped to 146 all out. Usman scored 42 runs with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes to be the highest scorer while the other batsman to impress with the bat was Zaheer with 38 runs and the extras were at No. 3 position at 19 runs. No other batsmen reached double figures against the tidy line and length bowling of ARM spearheaded by Sami Khan 3 for 29 skipper Najamuddin 2 for 26 and off spinner Mansoor 2 for 33. ARM in reply scored 148 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets and won the match by 8 wickets. ARM opening batsman Athar Ali scored the half century 50 runs off 45 balls with the help of five boundaries. Other batsmen who contributed runs for ARM were Sami Khan 46 (4x4 and 3x6) and Parvez Khan who remained unbeaten on 16 runs. Sabir 1 for 38 and Tabassum 1 for 34 were the successful bowlers for Mazco.
