More than 300 of EMEA's leading volume distributors, retailers and e-tailers used a live electronic voting system to select their preferred vendor in each category, assessing brands on the strength and effectiveness of their overall consumer channel strategy in EMEA

The Components Vendor of the Year accolade went to Intel, with WD crowned Storage Vendor of the Year. Channel partners selected Bose as Audio Vendor of the Year, TP-Link as Home Networking Vendor of the Year and Logitech as PC Accessories Vendor of the Year

"The nominations are determined by channel partners as are the overall winners. The process behind the awards is open, inclusive and transparent. Winning an 'EMEA Channel Academy: 2014 Award' is proof that a vendor has a successful and respected channel model in the region that offers real business opportunities for distributors, retailers and e-tailers," continued Hemraj.

HP maintained its grip on the Printing Vendor of the Year title, while Microsoft was crowned Software Vendor of the Year. Port Designs picked up the award for Tablet & Phone Accessories Vendor of the Year

The top five in each category received official nominations. The overall champion in each product category was determined by a live electronic vote held at a Gala Dinner on February 13th at the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco

During the nomination process, channel partners were asked to assess vendors on a variety of factors including partner engagement, channel strategy, pricing policies, stock management, product evolution, margin potential, channel management, retail engagement, marketing and the development of channel programmes in EMEA

Hemraj continued: "The Gala Dinner was a celebration of excellence in EMEA's volume technology and consumer electronics channel, attended by senior executives from the region's most influential distributors, retailers and e-tailers.
