Bogdan Księżopolski
- Head of the Institute of Computer Science, Head of Cybersecurity Department, Kozminski University
Since 2001 I have combined academic research in cybersecurity with professional practice. I am the author of more than 65 scientific publications on cryptography, network security and attacks on language models, published in journals including Nature Communications and Computers & Security. I also created QoP-ML, a language for modelling the quality of protection in IT systems.
At Kozminski University in Warsaw I am Head of Institute of Computer Science and Head of the Cybersecurity Department. As the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, I oversee information security at the level of university governance. I advise organisations, including those in regulated sectors, as a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO), and I support them during security incidents such as ransomware attacks. I founded CyberSkiller, a cybersecurity education company, where I now hold a supervisory role.
My current research focuses on the security of AI-based systems, in particular vulnerabilities of large language models and the protection of models integrated with security operations centres.
Areas of expertise: security governance and compliance, AI and LLM security, cryptography, machine learning, IoT and wireless sensor network security, DNA computing and digital education.
Experience- –present Head of the Cybersecurity Department and Head of the Computer Science programme, Kozminski University
