Korean Air Tops Service Quality Index For Fifth Year
The award was announced on November 4 following an assessment conducted by the Korean Standards Association (KSA). The index, developed jointly by KSA and the Institute of Management at Seoul National University, evaluates customer satisfaction with products and services.
Korean Air attributed its performance to investments in passenger facilities and continued improvements across its services. The recognition comes as the carrier prepares for an integrated airline launch in December, with efforts underway to align operational systems and organizational cultures.
Among its recent initiatives, the airline introduced Starlink-based inflight Wi-Fi in September, offering free internet access across all seats and simplifying the connection process.
It has also upgraded airport facilities, including a flagship lounge at Los Angeles International Airport and first-class and Prestige lounges at Incheon International Airport.
In addition, Korean Air expanded its through-checked baggage service with Delta Air Lines in June. The arrangement covers five routes from Incheon to Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Detroit, helping connecting passengers avoid baggage rechecking at US airports.
