Jordan, Oman Discuss Higher Education Cooperation, University Recognition
Amman, Oct. 29 (Petra) -- A Jordanian delegation from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development held talks in Oman on expanding higher education cooperation, increasing student and faculty exchanges, and addressing the recognition of Jordanian universities.
The discussions focused on updating the bilateral executive cooperation program in higher education, encouraging more Omani students to enroll in Jordanian universities, and reviewing institutions not currently recognized by Oman's higher education authorities. The delegation also discussed establishing a mechanism for recognizing these universities.
The delegation included Shadi Masaadeh, Assistant Director of the Higher Education Department; Anis Mansour, a council member and head of its Legal Committee; and Muhannad Khatib, the minister's media adviser, director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit, and ministry spokesperson.
During the visit, the Jordanian officials met with Oman's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Higher Education, Abdullah Al-Shibli, and senior officials responsible for scholarships, academic recognition, and university admissions.
The talks also explored opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation between universities in both countries.
