Türkiye Vows Deeper Defense Ties With Kazakhstan After Summit

Date:

(MENAFN) Türkiye plans to broaden and strengthen defense industry cooperation with Kazakhstan on a mutually beneficial footing, the head of the country’s Secretariat of Defense Industries said Wednesday.

Haluk Gorgun announced the commitment in a post on NSosyal after attending talks at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his delegation.

Calling defense cooperation a cornerstone of relations with Kazakhstan, Gorgun described Türkiye as a dependable, long-term partner, supported by an industrial ecosystem built over the last 25 years under Erdogan’s vision.

He pointed to Türkiye’s competitive defense products and to policies that encourage joint production with partner countries.

“We will diversify and deepen our areas of cooperation with friendly and brotherly Kazakhstan within the framework of a win-win approach,” Gorgun said.

“We view every step that brings together the expertise of our countries as a valuable contribution to the security and prosperity of the Turkic world,” he added.
