Ukrainian Forces Repel 36 Russian Attacks In Pokrovsk Sector As 177 Clashes Reported On Front Line Over Past Day

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a Facebook post on the battlefield situation as of 08:00 on Monday, October 26.

Yesterday, Russian aircraft carried out 64 airstrikes, dropping 224 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 9,296 kamikaze drones and shelled settlements and Ukrainian military positions 2,451 times.

Artillery strikes in the Sumy region hit the settlements of Mala Korchakivka, Tovstodubove, Sopych, Korenok, Luzhky, Studenok, Pysarivka, Potapivka, and Nova Sich. In the Chernihiv region, Kliusy, Kamin, and Mykolaivka came under fire. Airstrikes also targeted areas near Ivolzhanske, Hnylytsia, Pustohorod, and Luzhky in the Sumy region.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's aviation, missile forces and artillery struck one cluster of Russian personnel, an artillery system and an unmanned aerial vehicle command post.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked three times near Bachivsk, Boiaro-Lezhachi, and Oleksiivka.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled eight Russian attacks. Russian troops attempted to advance near Radkivka, Bochkovе, Okhrimivka, and Zakharivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces conducted no assault operations over the past day.

Russian attempts to advance were thwarted in the Lyman sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks near Stepove, Zelena Dolyna, Kolodiazi, Stavky, Lyman, and Zarichne.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces conducted no active offensive operations.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack near Malynivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 12 Russian attacks were recorded. Russian forces conducted assault operations near Raiske, Mykolaipillia, Dovha Balka, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, and Novoselivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 36 attacks. Russian troops attacked near Serhiivka and Molodetske and launched assaults toward Nadiia, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Chernihivka, Krasnopodillia, and Hulivе.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces conducted no active offensive operations.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian attacks near Uspenske, Rizdvianka, Dolynka, Hirke, and Yehorivka.

In the Orikhiv and Dnipro River sectors, Russian forces conducted no active operations over the past day.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the situation remained largely unchanged. No signs of Russian forces forming offensive groupings were detected.

As Ukrinform reported, Russia's total combat personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, through October 26, 2026, are estimated at approximately 1,580,440, including 1,990 over the past day.
