US Revokes Over 300,000 Visas Since Trump Return, Official Says

Date:

(MENAFN) The United States has revoked more than 300,000 visas since Donald Trump returned to the presidency, a senior State Department official announced Tuesday.

Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar disclosed the figure in a post on X, the US social media platform, warning visa holders to follow the law or forfeit their travel privileges.

“300,000+ visa revocations and counting. Our message to visa holders is simple: respect our laws or lose the privilege of traveling to the United States,” Namdar said.

“Under @POTUS and @SecRubio, safeguarding our country and the American people comes first, today and every day,” she added.

She amplified a White House post that claimed a record pace of revocations. It said: “The Trump admin has revoked more visas at a faster pace than ANY ADMIN IN HISTORY.”

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott also took to X to say the revocations were aimed at foreign nationals engaged in illegal activity or posing a threat to national security.

“We have zero tolerance for foreigners here on visas who break the law, commit fraud, or undermine our national security,” he said.
