HH The Amir Hosts Dinner Banquet For President Macron

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, hosted an official dinner banquet at Lusail Palace in honour of French President Emmanuel Macron, and his accompanying delegation. During the function, HH the Amir delivered a speech welcoming the French president, His Highness also emphasised the depth of the partnership between the two nations and the significance of this visit in strengthening co-operation across various sectors.

His Highness expressed his appreciation for the spirit of cordiality and mutual understanding that characterised the visit. He also voiced his confidence that the partnership, which is built upon mutual respect and shared values, will continue to flourish to serve the interests of both nations and their peoples, while contributing to international stability, security, and peace.

For his part, the French president expressed his gratitude to HH the Amir, praising the partnership and the alignment of visions between the two countries. He highlighted the ongoing co-operation and noted that the frequent high-level exchanges reflect a dynamic and active co-ordination between the two nations.

President Macron also lauded the economic partnership and mutual investments, especially in the fields of technology, energy, and industry and affirmed a commitment to continue working within the "One Planet" Sovereign Wealth Funds initiative to support investment in the sectors of the future.

The banquet was attended by Her Highness Consort of the Amir, Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani. Also in attendance were His Highness Personal Representative of the Amir, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al-Thani; His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa al-Thani; and His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani.

The event was also attended by His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, along with a lineup of Sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries, senior state officials, and business leaders.
