Türkiye, Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Security Amid Rising Tensions
(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to address regional security concerns, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources on Monday.
The discussions focused on developments affecting regional stability, particularly attacks against Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the sources said.
The call took place as tensions across the Middle East remain elevated amid the war involving Iran and renewed fighting in Yemen. Houthi rebels have targeted Saudi energy infrastructure and aviation facilities, including airports.
Saudi Arabia has headed an Arab military coalition against the Houthis since 2015, following the group's seizure of Yemen's capital, Sanaa, and other parts of the country in 2014.
