Russian Claims Of 'Successes' In Kharkiv Region Are False, Trehubov Says
“Claims by Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov about Velyka Shapkivka, Palamarivka, control over Kupiansk, or an advance toward Shevchenkove-which is 30 kilometers in a straight line from their actual positions-are either an attempt to mislead their own leadership or to create a backdrop for international negotiations,” Trehubov said.
According to Trehubov, the raising of a Russian flag in Kolodiazne may also be part of these information operations.

“The eastern part of the South Slobozhanskyi axis, the entire Velykyi Burluk axis, and the right-bank part of the Kupiansk axis have already become a work of pure fantasy in Russian media, astonishing even their own military bloggers,” Trehubov noted.
He suggested that the dissemination of such reports could be linked to Gerasimov's position.
“Perhaps the chair under Gerasimov has stopped wobbling, and now it's the windowsill that's wobbling. I find it hard to come up with any other explanation,” Trehubov quipped.
As previously reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted claims by the Russian military command that Russian forces had allegedly captured more than 1,800 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory and 92 settlements since September 1.
