Middlesex University Dubai Celebrates the Future Stars of its Largest Ever Graduating Class
(MENAFN- Action PR) Dubai, UAE – 19 October 2026: Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai is on course for its largest graduating class to date, with more than 2,750 students in line to graduate as the Class of 2026. The first 1,000 crossed the stage at four ceremonies held at Atlantis The Royal, Dubai - the first graduation ceremonies to take place at one of the city’s newest landmarks. Four more ceremonies will follow in early 2027, with the final number of the Class of 2026 to be confirmed once all exam results have been released.
The growth comes as Dubai continues to strengthen its position as an international higher education hub, with universities playing an important role in developing a skilled and diverse workforce.
To mark the milestone, MDX Dubai has dedicated a star to the Class of 2026, and every graduate in the weekend ceremonies received its coordinates so they can find it in the night sky from wherever their careers take them; a lasting symbol of their place in the MDX Dubai alumni community.
The October ceremonies brought together students, families, faculty and the wider University community. The ceremonies celebrated undergraduate and Daytime MBA graduates across disciplines including Business, Law, Psychology, Engineering, Information Technology, Media, Design and Education.
Professor Cedwyn Fernandes, Provost and Director of Middlesex University Dubai, said: “Every graduate who crossed the stage this weekend is a future star, and we look forward to seeing them shine in whatever path they choose. The growth in our graduating class over the past years reflects how far Middlesex University Dubai has come, but what matters most is what our graduates go on to achieve. As industries evolve and the skills employers need continue to change, universities have a responsibility to make sure students leave with more than academic qualifications. We want our graduates to be confident, adaptable and ready to apply their knowledge in the workplace and the wider community.”
Hassan Rizvi, who graduated in the first ceremony with a BA (Hons) in Business Management with Marketing, has gone on to secure a marketing role with automotive brand Jetour in his home country of Tanzania. He credits his time at university, along with the marketing internships he completed while studying, with helping him land his dream role:
“MDX Dubai gave me a really solid grounding in marketing theory, and putting it into practice through internships made the difference. Working on live campaigns while studying built my confidence in areas like digital marketing and market research, and by the time I graduated I had a clear idea of the career I wanted. Studying in Dubai was also a huge part of it. Being surrounded by classmates from so many countries taught me how to communicate with different audiences. Joining Jetour in Tanzania feels like the perfect start for my marketing career. The automotive sector is growing quickly, and I’m excited to help build the brand in a market I know. I’m forever grateful to my lecturers and the support staff at MDX Dubai."
As this year’s future stars enter the workforce, progress in their careers or pursue further studies, MDX Dubai continues to place emphasis on connecting academic learning with practical experience and industry engagement. Through its portfolio of programmes, the University aims to equip students with the technical knowledge, critical thinking and professional skills needed to navigate changing industry demands.
