KHCF, Microfund For Women Partner To Expand Health Protection

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Microfund for Women (MFW) signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday to promote social solidarity and expand access to health protection.

Under the agreement, MFW will enable subscribers to the foundation's Taameen Riaaya (Care Insurance) programme to pay their annual premiums in instalments on accessible terms, with no interest, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamesh described the partnership as an effective model of cooperation between the foundation and national institutions, based on a shared vision of strengthening health protection and widening access to the programme.

She said such partnerships translate institutional cooperation into tangible benefits by making the programme more accessible and raising public awareness of the importance of preparing for the health and financial challenges associated with cancer.

The director general added that the initiative reinforces the concept of sustainable health protection.

MFW Chief Executive Officer, Maha Saeed, said the agreement reflects the company's social and humanitarian responsibility towards all segments of society.

She said MFW believes financial barriers should not prevent people from accessing preventive and medical care, adding that offering interest-free financing for Riaaya premiums was a practical expression of that commitment.

Under the agreement, MFW will provide financing to enable people seeking treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Centre through Taameen Riaaya to pay their subscription fees in instalments through simplified procedures.

KHCF, meanwhile, will provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth implementation of the agreement and the effective delivery of treatment services to patients at the centre.
