Secretary Rubio's Meeting With Icelandic Prime Minister Frostadóttir
Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadóttir in Reykjavik. The two officials explored new opportunities for U.S.-Iceland economic collaboration, including potential avenues for increasing Iceland's electricity output, deepening technology cooperation, and increasing cooperation on pharmaceuticals.
Secretary Rubio and Prime Minister Frostadóttir also discussed Iceland's inaugural defense and security policy and reaffirmed the strength of the bilateral defense partnership.
