Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort Welcomes Two New Senior Leaders as the Resort Enters Its Next Chapter
(MENAFN- MENAFNEditorial) Fujairah, United Arab Emirates – 6 October 2026: Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort has welcomed Ruchira Bandara as Director of Food & Beverage and Yuliia Pitunova as Director of Rooms, strengthening its senior leadership team as the East Coast resort continues its transformation and looks ahead to its next chapter.
Joining as Director of Food & Beverage, Ruchira Bandara brings more than 16 years of international hospitality experience, spanning restaurant openings, rebrandings, large-scale hotel launches and F&B operations. Most recently, he was part of the pre-opening and operational leadership team at Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, overseeing an extensive portfolio of 12 F&B venues and playing an integral role in their launch and continued growth. Prior to this, Ruchira spent more than a decade with The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, progressing through a series of operational and leadership roles across some of the hotel’s key dining concepts.
Throughout his career, Ruchira has developed extensive experience in bringing dining concepts to life, from building and developing teams to shaping service standards and leading openings and repositioning projects. At Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, he will oversee the resort’s food and beverage operations and evolving culinary offering, bringing his operational expertise and guest-focused approach to the role.
Yuliia Pitunova joins as Director of Rooms, bringing extensive experience across rooms operations and guest experience, having built her career with hospitality brands including W Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, The Luxury Collection and St. Regis. She has progressed from guest services and relations into senior front office leadership, most recently serving as Director of Front Office and Residences at W Doha Hotel & Residences.
With a background rooted in guest experience, Yuliia has led initiatives across front office operations, service enhancement, team development and guest touchpoints. In her new role, she will oversee the resort’s Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping and Guest Services, with a focus on ensuring a seamless experience throughout each stage of the guest journey.
Together, the appointments mark another milestone in Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort’s ongoing transformation. With Ruchira shaping the resort’s evolving culinary experiences and Yuliia leading its rooms and guest journey, both will play an integral role in bringing the property’s renewed vision to life while remaining connected to the character and natural surroundings of Fujairah.
