Yamal Double Fires Spain Past Croatia 4-1; England Win 2-0
(MENAFN) World champions Spain stretched their unbeaten run to 40 matches and kept their perfect UEFA Nations League record intact on Tuesday, beating Croatia 4-1 in Seville, while England collected their first points of the campaign with a 2-0 win over Czechia in Prague.
Lamine Yamal was the driving force for Spain, scoring twice and setting up another goal. He put the hosts ahead early, but Croatia hit back to level the score. Marc Pubill restored Spain's lead soon afterwards, converting a Yamal assist.
The Barcelona winger added his second after the break, and Nico Williams wrapped up the win late on. The result leaves Spain on six points from two games, following their 3-2 victory over England at Wembley in their opening match.
