Slovak School Attack Kills One, Injures Two
(MENAFN) A knife attack at an elementary school in northern Slovakia on Tuesday left one teacher dead and two people injured, according to reports.
An eighth-grade student reportedly attacked another student and two teachers at the school in the Cadca district.
A 61-year-old female teacher died from the wounds she sustained in the assault. Another teacher, aged 44, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was transported by air to a hospital for treatment.
A student was also injured in the incident and remained in critical condition, according to reports.
Emergency services responded to the scene with two ground ambulances and rescue helicopters.
Slovak President Peter Pellegrini later addressed the incident on social media, calling it a serious warning for society and urging people to remain aware of the atmosphere they help create in public places.
