Russian Strike on Kyiv Academy Building Kills One, Injures Six
(MENAFN) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday that a Russian strike on the Academy of Sciences building in Kyiv killed at least one person and wounded six others, including children.
Zelenskyy said Russian forces also hit a medical facility in central Kyiv, where emergency crews were working to put out a fire caused by the attack.
He further claimed that Russian strikes targeted civilian sites, businesses and communications infrastructure in Dnipro as well as other cities and regions across Ukraine.
"Russia will definitely face a response to this," Zelenskyy said. "Russia must be held accountable for all of this and face real consequences."
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko separately said that 19 residents of the capital were injured in Russian attacks during the day.
