Airbus Expands Space Cooperation with Türkiye
(MENAFN) Airbus Defense and Space is looking to broaden its cooperation with Türkiye by building on the country’s existing satellite capabilities and supporting the development of advanced domestic technologies.
The company is closely following Türkiye’s expanding activities and strengthening industrial capabilities in the space sector, according to reports.
Airbus sees opportunities to deepen aerospace cooperation through direct industrial partnerships as well as government-level agreements involving Türkiye, the European Space Agency, the European Commission and the countries where Airbus was founded.
The potential expansion of cooperation comes as Türkiye prepares to host the 77th International Astronautical Congress in Antalya. The 2026 event is being organized under the coordination of the Industry and Technology Ministry and the Turkish Space Agency.
The upcoming congress is drawing attention from international space industry representatives, with Airbus expressing strong interest in participating in the event.
Airbus’ corporate business growth and development unit is also maintaining long-standing ties with the International Astronautical Congress and the International Astronautical Federation. The company’s representative began working with the two organizations in 1989 and currently leads the federation’s industrial relations committee while overseeing Airbus’ business relations with the European Space Agency.
