Fuel Supply Disruptions Ease Across French Stations
(MENAFN) Around 11% of fuel stations across France were facing supply difficulties affecting at least one type of gasoline or diesel as of Wednesday morning, according to government figures.
Data collected at 9 a.m. (0700GMT) showed that 89% of the country’s fuel stations had no reported supply problems.
Authorities monitor supply conditions at roughly 9,900 stations and classify a location as experiencing difficulties when at least one gasoline or diesel product it offers is unavailable.
The latest rate marks an improvement from 15% on Monday evening and 12% on Tuesday evening, based on government figures.
However, supply conditions differed considerably between regions.
Grand Est and Pays de la Loire recorded difficulties at 16% of stations, while Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur reported a rate of 7%.
In the Paris region, around 12% of fuel stations were affected.
The latest data followed Economy Minister Roland Lescure’s statement Monday that 17% of French fuel stations were missing at least one fuel product, with 91% of the affected stations operated by TotalEnergies.
